老外不见外 | “靠谱群主”魏思得：想帮助外国朋友们爱上“这座城市” Michael Wester, a rumor-buster during Beijing pandemic battle

　　美国人魏思得(Michael Wester)是20多个北京老外微信群的“群主”，不少群都达到了500名成员上限。

　　为什么要开这么多群？在北京闯荡20多年的他近日聊起初衷时说：想帮助外国朋友们爱上这座城市。

　　20年里，魏思得对北京从陌生转为熟悉，为它的发展变化惊叹自豪。北京也看着这个外国小伙成家立业，用自己的能力和知识帮助外国群体。

　　从精挑细选的餐厅信息，到面面俱到的防疫贴士，他为外国朋友们融入北京搭起了一座桥。

　　Michael Wester is from the United States and has lived in Beijing for more than 20 years. He has launched more than 20 WeChat groups to help foreigners adapt to life in Beijing.

　　He calls Beijing his “second home” and plays the role of a rumor-buster during Beijing's pandemic battle.

　　As a resident, he marvels at Beijing's development while the city in turn has also witnessed his own growth and devotion.

　　He says he hopes to build a bridge for foreign friends to integrate into Beijing.
